Shane “HHB” (Hawaiian Home Boy) Kahalehau was raised in the church and influenced by people like his uncle Danny Kapoi. His father taught him his first song, and from that point entered a talent contest in high school. Over the years, Shane's influences range from various styles of music, but his heaviest influence would be reggae music.

He first joined a band called HRB (Hawaiian Rhythm Band), then later moved on to sing with other groups such as Island Heat. HHB (Hawaiian Home Boy) was the co-founder and lead vocalist of Sly Dog and had the opportunity to work with Adru Simpson (lead guitarist for Morgan Heritage), Alla Marshall (keyboardist for Chalice), and guest DJ Chaka Demus.

Shane also spent 10 years as a radio personality on the local airwaves with Maui radio station. He has been a back up vocalist and featured artist with several of Hawaii’s popular entertainers such as Marty Dread, Darrel Labrado, Pure Aloha, Bu'laia, Sudden Rush and with international acts Lucky Dube, Third World, Inner Circle and Ben Myas.

Shane HHB (Hawaiian Home Boy) Kahalehau has done a lot in his career as a musician and entertainer. You will find his solo debut album graced by his voice and message. Through all his ups & downs, and by the grace of God, Shane is....Still Standing!
